The SIG¯ database (in Polish)

The Agricultural Bibliographic Information System (Polish abbreviation SIG¯) is a bibliographical database with considerable amount of annotations. This database is built by the CBR in cooperation with scientific centres and agricultural universities.
 

Subject coverage:

  • agriculture, forestry (excluding processing of forest products), food processing and related fields.

    • Contents:

  • the database contains bibliographic descriptions, indexing and abstracts of articles published in over 270 professional journals, books, reports, dissertations, conference proceedings and legal acts.

    • Chronological scope:

  • publications issued in Poland from 1981.

    • The size:

  • currently, over 123,000 records are entered, annual increase amounting to about 7,000 records.
    • Products: the "Przegl¹d Polskiego Piœmiennictwa Zagadnieñ Gospodarki ¯ywnosciowej" periodical (in Polish), abstract journal derived from the SIG¯ database (monthly); SIG¯ on CD ROM covering the years
